Baker-Back of House

Monday To Friday, Full-Time

Your Role at La Focacceria: 

  • Working with other team members to help prepare and bake a small line of savoury Italian focaccia and bread (from scratch!)

  • Prepare various leavened dough for Focaccia and for Bread, using only Italian flour and cold retarding.

  • Portion, shape, and bake different flavours of focaccia and bread

  • Familiarizing yourself with the product recipes to be able to deliver quality bakes

  • Being responsible for safe food handling and keeping prep stations clean as per food-safe standards

  • Working quickly and efficiently to keep up with the demands of the baking schedule

  • Occasional customer service: Food handling; Packaging baked goods

  • Previous experience in a similar role is a must, as is basic technical knowledge of leavened dough products.
